The Central government has increased the price of commercial LPG cylinders nearly ten days before Diwali by Rs 101.
According to the Indian Oil website, 19-kg cylinders will now be sold in Delhi for Rs 1,833 from the previous price of Rs 1,731.50.
The current price in Kolkata is Rs 1,943.00, in Mumbai Rs 1,785.50 and in Chennai Rs 1,999.50. However, there has been no change in the price of domestic gas cylinders.
The domestic LPG price remains the same with a rate of Rs 903 in Delhi, Rs 929 in Kolkata, Rs 902 in Mumbai and Rs 918 in Chennai. The decision comes just eleven days before Diwali (Nov 12).
